Volunteer Search & Rescue

City of Edna Bay Search & RescueThe City of Edna Bay supports a volunteer Search and Rescue Committee that maintains a membership of volunteer rescuers and the equipment necessary to locate and support citizens who are injured or lost in isolated areas within or outside of the Municipality.

The Search and Rescue Committee works with the public to gather and present information and offer emergency support services that fall outside of those provided by EMS and the Fire Department. The Search and Rescue Committee also provides drills and training, a means for the public to provide input on available response equipment, and ensures that an active roster of volunteers responders are committed to being available when needed.

The Search and Rescue Chairman is Roger DiPaolo.

Search and Rescue Committee meetings are called as necessary.
